I put no trust in my bow,
my sword does not bring me victory; but you give us victory over our enemies,
you put our adversaries to shame. (Psalm 44:6, 7 NIV)

What a great way to say put your trust in God. But today this made me see it deeper than I have before. When I heard sword or bow, I would think of the work I do as a leader or in a ministry within the church. But today God brought up som other areas in my life. He said – these are things you care and worry about. By stressing over these things, good or bad, your trusting that they have more power than me. WOW God – I never thought of things like my business, my friendships, my health as swords. And in fact by putting so much focus on these things, I’m putting my trust in them rather than God. Take some time and reevaluate what your stressing and worrying over. And ask God, is this shift my trust from you to them?
